Business grants update (03/03/2021)

Following the announcement on Tuesday 5 January 2021 concerning further Government grant support for businesses mandated to close as a result of the national restrictions, South Holland District Council are administering automatic payments for businesses that applied and received payment for the November 2020 lockdown grants. Following today's budget announcement, we await further guidance from the Government, but for March payments, we expect to make payments automatically to business that were paid in January.

Further details on the Restart Grant announced by the Chancellor today will be published here shortly.

Businesses that were mandated to close in November 2020 but did not apply for the November lockdown grant support can contact the Economic Development team by email at economicdevelopment@sholland.gov.uk so we can explore how to get financial support to you.

For businesses that applied for the Local Restrictions Support Grant Open Scheme designed to help businesses that haven't been mandated to close, but have been significantly impacted, we are reviewing applications and payments are now being made..

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister in early December 2020 in respect of a one-off £1,000 grant payment for 'wet pubs', we are currently contacting likely eligible businesses directly. If you feel that you are eligible for this support, but are yet to hear from us, then please contact the team via businessgrants@sholland.gov.uk, marking your email subject as 'Wet Pub Grant'.
