What this Privacy Notice covers
Your privacy is very important to South Holland District Council.
South Holland District Council is the Data Controller responsible for the personal information you may provide in relation to Local Land Charges. Why we need your personal data/what do we collect
The types of personal information we collect may include:
- Basic information including name, address and contact details
- Your personal data will either have been provided by you directly to us or it is data provided to us by a third party authorised to act on your behalf, such as a solicitor, conveyancer, mortgagee or agent
- Any other information you provide to us during the process.
Your information will be used to fulfil our legal obligations around our Statutory Duty in providing Local Land Searches to facilitate the sale/purchase of a property/land. The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6.1(c) of the General Data Protection Regulations - in that the Council has a statutory duty to give you information about the local land charges affecting the property searched.
How your data is used
Your data is used to provide an accurate Local Land Charge search result for property or land within the Breckland Council jurisdiction. The information that we use is the address of the property or land and the personal or company name and address/email address to return the Local Land Charge search result to. Payment details would be held by our finance department for audit purposes.
How long the information is kept for?
The information you provide will be retained no longer than is necessary.
