Chairlady's Charity Quiz Night Raises £812 for Project St Thomas

On Saturday 30 August, the hall at Project St Thomas was buzzing with excitement as a full house of enthusiastic quizzers gathered for the Chairlady's Charity Quiz Night.

Hosted by the ever-charismatic Dave, the evening featured a lively mix of quiz rounds, including a music round and a "comedy greats" segment that had everyone in stitches.

Tracey Carter from Project St Thomas, along with a team of dedicated volunteers, kept spirits high with a warm offering of teas, coffees, and an array of delicious homemade cakes and snacks.

A raffle added to the fun, and together with quiz entry fees, an impressive £812 was raised to support the charity's vital work.

The winning team  'Karen's Late Again', took away a winners trophy and a small gift each.

Tracey spoke passionately about how the funds will make a real difference in helping homeless and vulnerable residents in the local community.

Chairlady Councillor Jan Whitbourn expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed, praising the generosity and community spirit that made the evening such a success.
