Afternoon Tea at Wisbech Castle
On a delightful summer July afternoon, our Chairlady, accompanied by guest Councillor Elizabeth Sneath, had the pleasure of attending a charming cream tea event hosted by the Mayor of Wisbech, Councillor Janet Tanfield.

The gathering took place at the magnificent Wisbech Castle, nestled in the heart of Museum Square—a venue rich in history and character.

Guests were welcomed into the castle's picturesque gardens, where a beautifully arranged marquee set the scene for a quintessentially British afternoon tea.

Surrounded by the castle's historic architecture and lush greenery, attendees enjoyed a selection of traditional treats in a relaxed and elegant setting.

The event offered not only a wonderful opportunity for conversation and connection but also a chance to appreciate the cultural heritage of this remarkable venue.

It was an honour for our Chairlady to be part of such a warm and well-hosted occasion, and she extends her sincere thanks to the Mayor of Wisbech for the kind invitation and hospitality.

Events like these continue to strengthen the bonds between neighbouring communities and celebrate the shared traditions that bring us together.
