How to get involved
Ways of being involved
Following our work with TPAS and our tenants to develop a Tenant Engagement Strategy we are now pleased to announce that this strategy has been approved by Councillors.
Our Tenant Forum launch and recruitment is now live.
What does the tenants forum mean - The Tenants Forum is your opportunity to help shape the services we provide and make a difference in your home and community. This Forum is a hub for all our tenant engagement activities—a place where your voice matters, and you can participate in ways that suit you best.
What do I have to do - The forum will offer lots of different opportunities for you to engage with us to get your voice heard, and help us shape our services by listening and working with you. The engagement opportunities will give everyone a chance to get involved in what interests them and in a way that suits them best, from attending meetings or sending in their views via email, post, on-line or by reviewing our literature at home. We will work with you to make it as easy as possible to get involved with us and provide transport and support where required to help everyone who is interested the chance to have their voice heard.
What engagement opportunities are there - Join the Forum to stay connected and updated on landlord services and related developments, in the way you want, then select from a variety of engagement options tailored to your interests and availability:
- Surveys and Feedback: Open to all tenants to participate, share your views on services through surveys in the comfort of your own home.
- Quality Checkers: Participate in estate inspections, mystery shopping, and communal area checks to ensure standards are
- met. You can attend in person or send in comments on hotspots in your community.
- Communication Corner: Help us improve how we communicate with you, by reviewing our correspondence and offering feedback, from the comfort of your armchair. All correspondence will then receive the "Tenants Seal of approval."
- Creative Contributions: Assist in producing and editing our tenant Annual Report and re-design of our tenant web page.
- Focus Groups: Join groups dedicated to specific services and help shape service change and improvement - Property Focus Group, Sheltered Housing Focus Group, Tenancy Focus Group, Complaints and Performance Focus Group.

The census is now complete. We would like to thank tenants for their support with completing this vital piece of work.
We are pleased to say that we received 2607 responses, which equates to 70% of our households. This piece of work will help us to update our records and make sure we are providing the right services to tenants and that your needs are properly met. A summary of the responses can be found here.
Our prize draw has been completed and the winning households have been contacted.
Right to Manage
The Right to Manage offers tenants the option to form a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) which allows tenants to take over responsibility for managing housing services, such as repairs, caretaking, and rent collection from their landlord. As part of a TMO the members are unpaid volunteers who want to improve the quality of people's lives by taking on more responsibility for local services. Further information about the Right to Manage is provided in the government guidance - Right to Manage guidance.
