We welcome and strongly encourage discussions with homeowners or developers before submitting a planning application. Our Planning Duty Officer and Pre-Application Advice services provide you with the opportunity to fully explore your proposal with us and find out what information you need to support your planning application.

Submit a planning application
The most convenient way to submit your planning application is online via the Planning Portal.
This is a national website and applications submitted via the Portal are sent directly to us as electronic submissions. It also offers a wide range of services and information on the planning system. We recommend submitting your application via the Portal as it is a quick and easy way to make an application and there is on-line guidance to help you through the process.
You can submit all your plans electronically if you have the facility to produce electronic drawings and you can obtain an electronic location plan from the website too.
You can also pay the planning fee electronically.
If you would prefer to complete a paper copy of the relevant application form, one can be downloaded via the Planning Portal.
The completed form, plans and any supporting documents can be posted to our offices or delivered in person to reception.
Amendments to planning applications
All amendments to undetermined planning applications must be accompanied by an amendment form in order for us to process it. A copy of the relevant form can be downloaded by clicking the link below.
