Welland Homes delivers first ever dividend
Posted on 26 August 2025

Welland Homes, a housing company wholly owned by South Holland District Council, has announced a £65,953 dividend to the council after a successful 2024/25.
This is the first time the company, which has been in operation for ten years, has achieved this significant milestone, alongside making significant donations to local charities.
Founded in 2015, Welland Homes was created to help meet the growing demand for quality housing in South Holland. Its mission is to expand the local housing supply, raise standards in housing design, and improve the quality of rental accommodation for residents. A decade on, the company now owns 57 high-quality market rental properties.
The landmark successful financial year also saw the company donate over £100,000 to three local organisations, Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire, Active Lincolnshire and South Holland in Bloom, supporting vital community services and initiatives across the district. This takes the total donations made by the company to over £569,607 since it began.
In a joint statement, current elected members of South Holland District Council and directors of the Welland Homes Board, Councillors Bryan Alcock, Henry Bingham, Michael Booth, Paul Redgate, Elizabeth Sneath and Jack Tyrrell said: "We are delighted that the company has not only been able to continue to support important causes that help improve the lives of people living in the district but is also now in a position to deliver a dividend payment to the shareholder for the first time.
"This is an enormous achievement, and is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved with the company, as it has rightly established itself over the last ten years as a landlord of choice, providing high-quality and desirable homes for our residents right here in South Holland."
Councillor Nick Worth, leader of South Holland District Council, said: "Delivering improved housing services that deliver value for money to residents is at the heart of what we want to do as a council, and for our vision of creating a greater Lincolnshire for all through the future shape of our local government.
"This is a fantastic achievement by Welland Homes, and all of our local businesses, workers and partners who make it possible. Most importantly though, it is making a real difference to the lives of those residents and tenants for who these are not just houses, but a desirable, safe and quality place that they can call their home."
