South Holland District Council launches new Tenants Forum to empower local voices
Posted on 2nd July 2025

South Holland District Council has this week announced the launch of its new Tenants Forum, a key initiative designed to give housing tenants a stronger voice in shaping the future of housing services across the district.
The Tenants Forum is open to all South Holland housing tenants, their families, carers or residents who live on estates where our properties are situated, whether they wish to actively participate or simply stay informed.
The council is committed to ensuring that every tenant can contribute in a way that suits them best. This new platform will provide regular opportunities for tenants to share their views, influence decisions and help improve services.
To mark the launch, South Holland District Council is hosting a series of events across the district. These sessions will offer tenants the chance to learn more about the Forum, meet the team and find out how they can get involved. The events are scheduled as follows:
- 10am until 12pm on Tuesday 8 July at the Royal British Legion, Long Sutton.
- 6pm until 7:30pm Wednesday 9 July at St Norbert's Church Hall, Spalding.
- 1pm until 3pm on Thursday 10 July at The Holbeach Hub, Holbeach.
- 10:30am till 12:30pm on Tuesday 15 July at Tonic Health, Spalding.
- 5:15pm until 7:30pm on Wednesday 16 July via an online information session.
In addition to the forum, there is now a Property Focus Group that will take a closer look at the aids and adaptations service. This group will work with tenants to review how the service is delivered and identify areas for improvement. Tenants who have used the service or are interested in contributing to its development are encouraged to get involved.
Recognising that not everyone can attend meetings, South Holland District Council is offering a range of flexible engagement options. Tenants can also take part in online surveys and consultations, join the Communications Group to help shape how the council communicates with tenants.
Councillor Tracey Carter, Portfolio Holder for Strategic and Operational Housing, said: "Our tenants are at the focus of everything we do.
"The Tenants Forum is about creating a space where every voice matters. Whether you want to be hands-on or simply stay informed, there's a place for you.
"We're excited to work together so we are able to build the best possible services for all our tenants."
Tenants can book their place or register for updates by visiting the South Holland District Council website. More information on how to get involved is also available online.
