Consultation on Disabled Aids and Adaptations

We are pleased to announce the launch of our consultation on the future provision of the Disabled Aids and Adaptations for the Housing Landlord Service.

Your views are important to us, and we would greatly value your input to help shape how this service is delivered going forward.

Consultation on the future provision of the Disabled Aids and Adaptations for the Housing Landlord Service

 

Aids and adaptations are changes or additions made to a home to help tenants with disabilities or mobility challenges live more independently and safely. These can include:

  • Grab rails and handrails
  • Stairlifts 
  • Level-access showers or wet rooms
  • Ramps and widened doorways

These adaptations are designed to support tenants in maintaining their independence, improving quality of life, and ensuring their homes are safe and accessible.

Why Your Input Matters:The responses you provide will strengthen our understanding of the areas we need to improve and, will be instrumental in shaping our approach to future delivery of the service.

Consultation Period:The consultation will run from 16th June until 17th July 2025
