Empty Property Owned by a Charity
If you are a registered charity that owns an unoccupied property, you may be exempt from Council Tax.
This exemption applies for a maximum period of six months, depending on the date the property became unoccupied.
The property can be furnished or unfurnished under this exemption.
The property must have been previously occupied for the purposes of the charity; a list of the charities objectives will be required to verify this. Read and complete the Class B Application (PDF) [496KB]
