Long Term Plan for Towns

The Long-Term Plan for Towns is a new Government programme to support towns to improve their high street, ensure residents feel safe and secure and improve connectivity.

Spalding was selected as one of 75 towns that will receive this funding spread over a ten year period from 2024. A community/business and public sector board (Spalding Town Board) has now formed to oversee the £20m investment plans that are being consulted on across Spalding in May and June and presented to Government in August 2024 -

South Holland District Council has been asked (as with all selected towns in the UK) to act as accountable body for the Town Board and investment plan administration. Therefore, Spalding Town Board Agendas and minutes of meetings will be published on the South Holland District Council website when approved and available to South Holland residents.

A website has also been set up to inform residents of the actions and developing plans for the town and more information can be found on this site - at www.lovespalding.co.uk.
