Stay in work out

Looking for a ways to stay fit, active and well at home? Here's some of our suggestions as well as a printable gentle exercise booklet we have put together.

We have joined the national campaign to #StayInWorkOut and we'd like to invite you to join in too. We all know that being physically active has lots of benefits for our physical and mental wellbeing and while our normal routines may have been disrupted, there are lots of great resources available to help us stay active and well at home.

Our Communities team have created an eight week progressive exercise programme that is designed for people making their first steps into becoming more physically active. It aims to help you set goals and introduces new exercises each week, helping you to build your fitness. You can print it out and work through the booklet so it is great for people who don't have regular access to the internet. Get your free copy of the  Stay In Work Out booklet (PDF) [6MB] (opens new window) . Don't worry if you don't have a resistance band, a pair of old tights or leggings will do the trick!

Sports England website (opens new window)  also offer on-demand online resources as a part of the campaign. It has a wealth of information, with different work outs and lots of types of exercises and sessions that are suitable for all abilities and needs.

Active Lincolnshire have also collated some great resources into four categories, why not give them a try:
