Start-ups can learn business basics with free three-day course

Anyone considering starting up their own business can get all the skills they need to run their enterprise with an intensive three-day Starting in Business course provided by NBV Enterprise Solutions and hosted by South Holland District Council.

The course takes place over three days in June:

Thursday 14 & Friday 15 June - Starting and running a business
An intensive two-day workshop led by an experienced business trainer on the skills needed to run a business, such as planning, marketing, understanding opportunities and risks and money management.

Thursday 21 June - Creating a business plan
Delegates learn the importance of comprehensive market research, how to calculate start-up costs and how to develop realistic financial projections.

Councillor Nick Worth, Deputy Leader for South Holland District Council and Portfolio Holder for Growth and Commercialisation, said: "Our aim is to encourage and support new businesses in South Holland, so we are delighted to be hosting this free business course.
"The course is supported by experts in the business world and delegates will get all the information they need to turn their ideas into sustainable long-term businesses.
"This is a great opportunity not to be missed!"

The course is free to anyone wishing to attend (advanced registration is required), and delegates also receive a certificate of completion.
