Fixed Penalty Notice

Since 1st November 2009 Environmental Enforcement Officers from the Council have issued Fixed Penalty Notices for a wide range of offences for environmental crimes.

Examples of such offences:

  • Dropping litter, gum and cigarette butts
  • Fly-posting and unauthorised distribution of free printed matter
  • Graffiti
  • Failing to clear dog faeces
  • Persistent offenders who continue leaving refuse/recycling out for collection days before scheduled collection
  • To residents who continually leave contaminated recycling out for collection

How to Pay Your Fixed Penalty Notice

Online

You can make your payment via our Payment Portal

Choose 'Other Payments', then select 'Community Safety and Enforcement' > 'Fixed Penalty Notice'.

You will then need to enter the reference number of your notice, your name exactly as it appears on your notice, and address details.

Failure to Pay

Failing to pay this Environmental Fixed Penalty Notice will make you liable to conviction for the offence.

If no payment is received, South Holland District Council may prepare a file for consideration of prosecution.
