South Holland District Council is today launching a public consultation on a draft Climate Change Strategy.

The consultation will seek the views of South Holland residents on plans to achieve a more sustainable future across the South & East Lincolnshire sub-region with East Lindsey, Boston and South Holland collectively working towards the country's net zero by 2050 target.

The strategy is one of the first joint pieces of work by the newly formed South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.

It will seek to address the challenges and opportunities associated with key themes such as transport, the built environment, water and the natural environment.

A new South & East Lincolnshire Climate Action Network (SELCAN) is due to be launched in Spring 2022 to drive delivery of the climate change strategy. Representatives from key sectors will be invited to join SELCAN with ongoing administrative support provided by the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.

A copy of the draft Climate Change Strategy together with the survey can be found at https://www.sholland.gov.uk/ClimateConsultation. The consultation will be open until Friday 4 February.
