Posted on 12 April 2019
Ballot papers will begin arriving through letterboxes over the weekend (from Saturday 13 April) for those residents who have opted to vote by post in the South Holland district and parish elections on 2 May.
South Holland District Council is asking voters who have not received their postal ballot papers by Thursday 25 April to contact the Elections team on 01775 761161.
South Holland's District election will decide 37 Council seats across 18 wards in the district. Residents of Whaplode and Holbeach St. John's, The Saints, Holbeach Hurn and Gedney are reminded they do not need to cast their vote due to their wards being uncontested.
The only parish ward to be contested is Pinchbeck ward, in Pinchbeck Parish Council. All other parish wards are uncontested.
A list of all candidates can be found on South Holland District Council's website, as well as in reception at the Council offices on Priory Road.
The deadline to register to vote in the local elections is today, Friday 12 April. This can be done quickly and easily at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. Anyone who is registered to vote can apply for a postal vote up to 5pm on Monday 15 April and the deadline for a new proxy vote application is 5pm on Wednesday 24 April.
