The Government’s Discretionary Grant Scheme aims to support small and micro businesses that require support
due to the COVID-19 shutdown, and who have been unable to access other grant funds such as the Small Business
grant and Retail, Hospitality and Leisure grant.
Given the aim of the scheme is to support businesses in remaining solvent through the COVID-19 crisis and
supporting wider economic resilience, funding will only be provided where the council believes it will have a
demonstrable positive impact on the immediate stability of the business. This is because South Holland District
