Health and safety - accident reports and investigations
How we provide this service
Reporting accidents is supported by Environmental Services, Safety & Environment.
Investigation of accidents and injuries at work are undertaken by the Health and Safety section.
- If one of your employees has an accident,
- a member of the public is injured on your premises and is taken to hospital
- or someone is killed either as a result of an accident at work or because of the work activity on site
you will need to report the accident by completing a F2508 form on the HSE website.
This is legal requirement under The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR)
What to do to get this service
You can report and accident on the HSE Website (www.hse.gov.uk/riddor/report.htm).
To report fatal or major injuries telephone 0845 300 99 23 (Mon-Fri 8.30-5.00).
