This service is free to Council Tenants.
How long will the whole process take?
Up to 4 hours for drains to be unblocked. Up to 48 hours for septic tanks to be emptied.

Q. I have got blocked drains. What should I do?
A. If your property is Council owned and the blocked drains are house drains, please ring Customer Services.
If your property is privately owned and the blocked drains are house drains, refer to the Yellow Pages telephone directory for a contractor.
If it is a public sewer which is blocked and you pay your sewage bill to Anglian Water, contact Anglian Water on 08457 145145.
If you pay your sewage bill to South Holland District Council contact Customer Services.
If in doubt, contact the Council for advice.
Q. My septic tank/cesspool is overflowing. What should I do?
A. If your property is Council owned, contact Customer Services. If your property is privately owned, please refer to the Yellow Pages telephone directory for a contractor.
