Sharps Collections
How we provide this service
The collection of used syringes is supported by Community & Neighbourhood Services, Waste Services.
We are happy to provide a collection facility for used syringes at The Council Offices, Priory Road, Spalding, PE11 2XE.
However, we would ask that the following guidelines are adhered to:
- All syringes must be in the appropriate sharps containers.
- You should then place this in to our receptacle in our foyer area
- Council staff are not to handle any containers.
- We reserve the right to refuse sharps that are not presented in the correct containers.
- We are not able to provide replacement sharps containers - these are available from your local doctor's surgery.
The members of staff on reception may refuse to accept your used syringes if the above guidelines are not adhered to.
Should you not be able to bring your sharps container to the Council Offices please contact Customer Services to arrange a home collection.
