Information about how to check that a Notice to quit a property, given to a tenant by their landlord is valid is supported by Housing & Property Service Unit, Housing Operational.
What to do to get this service
Please provide us with a copy of the Notice that you have received from your Landlord and our Housing team will determine whether it is a valid Notice or not. They will then write/contact you and your Landlord to confirm. They will also provide guidance on your housing options.

Q. I have received notice from my landlord to quit the property, what do I do?
A. We will need a copy of the Notice and of any Tenancy Agreement that you have. We will then validate the notice to ensure that it complies with current Housing legislation. Once we have determined whether the Notice is valid or not our Housing team will contact you and your landlord to confirm and to give you guidance on your housing options.
