How we provide this service
Licence for pet shop is supported by Community & Neighbourhood Services, Food Safety & Licensing.
A pet shop is defined broadly as premises (includes a private dwelling) from which animals or fish are sold as pets.
If you wish to sell animals you will need to get a licence from this Council.
What to do to get this service
Download and complete a Pet Shop Licence application form (PDF, 9KB), sign the form to confirm that you will pay the fees for the vet's inspection and enclose the necessary fee. These licences are renewed on a calendar year basis and there is a renewal fee.
