How we provide this service
Licence for killing game is supported by Environmental Services, Food Safety & Licensing.
What to do to get this service
The Regulatory Reform (Game) Order 2007 which came into force on 1 August 2007, amended the Game Act 1831 and the Game Licences Act 1860 and will:
Remove the restriction on dealing in game birds and venison during the close season permitting game to be sold all year round provided that the game was lawfully killed.
Remove the requirement to hold game licence in order to kill or take game.
Remove the requirement to hold and local authority licence and an excise licence to deal in game.
