Town twinning

The Council twins with Speyer in Germany and Sezanne in France.

The Twinning between Spalding and Speyer in Germany was started in 1956. "Friends of Speyer" was formed in 1998 to develop the relationship between the towns. Visits to the twin town are organised biannually.

Spalding has been twinned with Sezanne in France since 1958 and several enjoyable exchange visits have taken place since then.

Many contacts and friendships have been formed between people of the twin towns as well as links between sports, arts and music groups.
