Street litter bins
How we provide this service
The council is responsible for keeping adopted highways clean and litter-free, within the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act along with other public spaces, such as parks and play areas. This is is supported by Community & Neighbourhood Services, Waste Services.
The service is provided by emptying litter bins, a routine sweeping process, supplemented by ad-hoc sweeping where additional demands require it.
We aim to keep the environment as pleasant as possible. Please help us to do so by putting your litter in the bins or taking it home.
Litter includes dog-fouling, needles and fallen leaves.
