What to do to get this service
If you need to report a road that is in need of sweeping due to accumulation of leaves, litter etc please call our Customer Service Team on (01775) 761161 or use our online form.
They will ask you which road needs our attention and whether the footpath is also in need of sweeping.
An inspection wil take place and the necessary action taken.
Please note: South Holland District Council is not the Highway Authority for this area. We only have responsibilty for street cleaning - any complaints about the condition of roads should be made to Lincolnshire County Council (01522 782070)
How much will it cost?
There is no extra charge for this service.
How long will the whole process take?
Each request is usually dealt with within 24 working hours. Working hours are classed as 6am until 8pm. Please note that this may vary depending on the number of requests we receive. Town centre streets must be swept within 6 working hours, residential areas and other roads within 4 weeks. If the standard of cleanliness of your road causes concern, then please report it.

Q. There is litter in my street. When will it next be swept?
A. There is no set schedule of street sweeping but rather the programme is determined by need. If a road falls below an acceptable standard it must be swept. Town centre streets must be swept within 6 working hours, residential areas within 24 working hours and other roads within 4 weeks. If the standard of cleanliness of your road causes concern, then please report it.
