How we provide this service

Removal of graffiti from public areas and public buildings is supported by Community & Neighbourhood Services, Waste Services.

What to do to get this service

To report graffiti, please contact the Customer Services Team on 01775 761161, or use our online form.

Our advisors will take details from you of:

1. The location;
2. The nature of the graffiti;
3. Details of the person(s) responsible (if known).

How much will it cost?

Responsibility for removing graffiti rests with the owners. SHDC are responsible for removing graffiti from Public Property only.

Most buildings' insurance policies include cover for criminal damage so it is advisable to check with your insurance company before deciding what action to take.

If your property has been vandalised with graffiti, we may be able to help remove it for a fee. For further details please contact the Neighbourhood Services Team.

How long will I have to wait for a response?

Our aim is to remove/cover graffiti on Public buildings and take necessary action as soon as is practical.
