How we provide this service

Information about disposal sites for household waste is supported by Community & Neighbourhood Services, Waste Services.

In addition to the weekly kerbside collections, there are also a number of sites for householders to dispose/recycle/compost their waste.

Household Waste Recycling Centre

The Lincolnshire County Council 'HWRC' provides opportunities to dispose of all household waste and recycle plastics, cans, glass, paper and cardboard, car batteries, furniture, wood and green waste.

This site, at West Marsh Road, Spalding, is open 7 days a week. Opening times are:

Winter (October to March)
8am-4pm every day

Summer (April to September)
8am-6pm Monday to Friday
8am-4pm Saturday and Sunday

Please note: This site is closed Christmas Day and Boxing day.

The 'Saturday Morning Services' (waste skips).

These are sites (operated 10 months each financial year) within the district where residents can take their household and garden waste for disposal.

All sites detailed below are open 8am-11am.

All following dates are provisional:

'Long Sutton, Crowland, Holbeach'

9th April, 14th May, 11th June, 9th July, 13th August, 10th September, 8th October, 12th November, 14th January 2012, 10th March 2012.

'Donington, Sutton Bridge'

16th April, 21st May, 18th June, 16th July, 20th August, 17th September, 15th October, 19th November, 21st January 2012, 17th March 2012.

'Gedney Hill'

16th April, 18th June, 20th August, 15th October, 19th November, 21st January 2012.

Recycling sites

There are 29 small recycling sites in the South Holland District where you may take glass, cans, textiles and paper. Please see recycling - disposal sites (link at bottom of page).
