How we provide this service
Disposal sites for household waste is supported by Community & Neighbourhood Services, Waste Services.
In addition to the weekly kerbside collections, there are also a number of sites for householders to dispose/recycle/compost their waste.
Household Waste Recycling Centre
The Lincolnshire County Council 'HWRC' provides opportunity to dispose of all household waste and recycle plastics, cans, glass, paper and cardboard, car batteries, furniture, wood and green waste.
This site, at West Marsh Road, Spalding, is open 7 days a week. Opening times are:
Winter (October to March)
8am-4pm every day
Summer (April to September)
8am-6pm Monday to Friday
8am-4pm Saturday and Sunday
Please note: This site is closed Christmas Day and Boxing day.

The 'Saturday Morning Services' (waste skips).
These are monthly sites in the district where residents can take their household and garden waste for disposal.
From June 2008, improvements have been made to the Saturday morning waste facility. Now any garden waste taken to the sites will go for composting where previously all waste collected at these facilities was sent to landfill.
All sites detailed below are open 8am-11am.
'Long Sutton, Crowland, Holbeach 2nd Saturday in the month
June 14th, July 12th, August 9th, September 13th, October 11th 2008 then December 13th and February 14th 2009
'Donington, Sutton Bridge 3rd Saturday in the month'
June 21st, July 19th, August 16th, September 20th, October 18th 2008 the December 20th and February 21st 2009
'Gedney Hill 3rd Saturday in the month (alternate months)'
June 21st, August 16th, October 18th 2008 the December 20th and February 21st 2009.

Recycling sites
There are 29 small recycling sites in the South Holland District where you may take glass, cans, textiles and paper. Please see recycling - disposal sites (link at bottom of page).
