What to do to get this service
During office hours you can report emergency repairs to us in the usual way. Outside normal office hours you will need to ring the emergency repairs out of hours call centre on 01522 782235. (You can still ring the council's main number on 01775 761161 but instead of being diverted you will hear a message asking you to ring the call centre). The call centre will take details of your query and will deal with Emergency Calls only. If your call turns out not to be an emergency and we have to attend, we may recharge you.
We try to attend emergencies within 24 hours providing we can gain access to your home. Sometimes we will do a temporary repair and come back to you later to complete the job.
