How we provide this service

Responsive Repairs

We aim to provide a comprehensive repair service for all our Council housing. All day to day repairs are carried out by our Construction Services unit based in Spalding.

The responsibility for looking after your home is a joint one. Reporting your Repairs explains about this and gives detailed advice on how to report a repair.

This service is supported by Housing, Operational.

What to do to get this service

If you need to have a repair carried out at your home you can call in, telephone, email or write to us.

When you report a repair you will need to let us have:

- your full address
- as much information about the repair as you can give
- access details, including a contact telephone number.

How long will the whole process take?

This depends on the kind of repair you have asked for. Repairs are given a priority depending on the type of work that is needed - some repairs must take a higher priority than others, especially where health and safety is concerned. The repair categories are:

- Priority 1 - emergency repairs, attend within 2 hours
- Priority 2 - emergency repairs, attend within 8 hours
- Priority 3 - urgent repairs, to be completed within 3 working days
- Priority 4 - urgent repairs, to be completed within 5 working days
- Priority 5 - routine repairs, to be completed within 20 working days
- Priority 6 - void property repairs, assessed on an individual property basis.
