Housing Home Insurance
How we provide this service
If you are a council tenant your home is covered by the Council's own insurance if the structure of the building is damaged by such things as fire or lightening. The Council does not insure your personal belongings. This service is supported by Housing, Operational.
What to do to get this service
Although we hope nothing ever happens to your home, we all know of someone who has suffered as a result of incidents such as break-ins, fires or floods. This could happen to a property near you and your home and contents could be affected. If this happens, you will need to claim from your own insurance or from the other person.
