The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 established the South Holland Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership. South Holland is currently in a merger with South Kesteven to form the South Lincolnshire Community Safety Partnership (CSP). Our function is to protect people from crime and the fear of crime. Partners include: the District Council's, Lincolnshire County Council, the Primary Care Trust, Lincolnshire Police, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and Lincolnshire Police Authority. New guidance for Partnerships places emphasis on CSP's being more intelligence led and has guided the development of the Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
For more information on local policing in your area please contact your Neighbourhood Beat Manager who can be located by using the postcode search on the Lincolnshire Police website.
In response to local issues, the Crime & Disorder Strategy for 2005 - 2008 has been published (link below). The priorities and underlying problems of greatest concern in the community are:
- Criminal damage
- Vehicle crime
- Anti-Social behaviour
- Violent crime
- Business crime
- Race and hate crime
- Publicity and reassurance
The Partnership also works closely with the Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) to tackle drug problems and drug related crime and with the Youth Service and Youth Offending Service to tackle anti-social behaviour and engage young people in diversionary activities.
Throughout the three year life of the strategy there will be continuous monitoring and evaluation. Currently, the overall incidence of Crime & Disorder within the district is low.
For more information please contact: Claire Court - Partnerships Officer via email:
