Virtually every British museum aspires to full Accreditation as it enables museums and governing bodies to assess their current performance, and it supports them in planning and developing their services. The Accreditation scheme is twenty years old this year and has proved to be one of the most effective and beneficial initiatives for British museums during this time.
Councillor Nick Worth, South Holland District Council Portfolio holder for Leisure and Tourism, is thrilled with the result:
