South Holland District Council directly supports and provides local cultural activities. These include sports facilities, a theatre and a museum in the district. It also provides tourism, arts development, sports development and the promotion of events. The Council protects the historic fabric of the district through its conservation and planning powers. It also uses its enforcement powers to safeguard people in their leisure and cultural pursuits.
