Ayscoughfee Hall Museum is located at Churchgate, Spalding, Lincolnshire. PE11 2RA. The Museum is open 5 days a week and entry is free.
The Geest Gallery is available for artists to book free of charge to exhibit their works. You can also book the Gallery for holding events such as book readings, social events and meetings.
Art exhibitions are for one calendar month, ensuring a frequently changing list. Art is hung by the artists themselves and, although we do have some limitations as a listed building, we will try to make your exhibition as personal as possible. The Geest Gallery is now fully booked until December 2013, and so we are not taking any bookings for 2014 until Summer 2012.
To check availability and provide details of your proposed event please complete the
Geest Gallery online booking form.
As part of the booking process, South Holland District Council will then work with you to check the dates, discuss event planning and safety and agree the fees.
Ayscoughfee Hall & Gardens are situated on the banks of the River Welland within the grounds of the Grade I listed Ayscoughfee Hall, that dates back to the 1450s and has architectural details from the medieval, Georgian and Victorian periods. Some of its earlier features are of national importance. The Museum hosts a collection of local artefacts showing the history of the building and life in the Fens and was refurbished in 2005/06. The Gardens are set within 5 acres and feature a late 18th Century Icehouse, fine yew hedges dating back to the 1720s, an ornamental lake and a war memorial designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.
