Housing Services

 

The first function of the Housing Services Team is Housing Management. This covers the Management of the Housing register and the Allocation of properties to applicants. They manage all rent accounts and are responsible for any enforcement action.

The Team is also responsible for Tenancy and Estate Management for secure tenancies and is involved in Tenant Participation.

The second function is Homelessness; they provide housing advice and solutions to applicants who are threatened with, or are statutorily homeless. They manage temporary accommodation and are responsible for undertaking the Homelessness Investigation process which is a statutory requirement.

The third function is Supported Housing. This is the provision of accommodation for elderly people that is supported by a Life-line 24/7 and on Warden control or has a Mobile warden. The provision of Housing Related Support - by telecare - to any person irrespective of tenure.

They are also responsible for the allocation of Sheltered Accommodation, and pre-assessment and post tenancy support plans, which is linked to Lincolnshire County Council's Supporting People.
