If you have got your planning permission, then congratulations!
However, it is important that you read your decision notice very carefully. More often than not planning permission comes with certain conditions. These conditions MUST be complied with, failure to do so could result in enforcement action which will delay your project.
Conditions come in all shapes and sizes, standard ones include how long you have got to implement (or start) your project, the standard timescale is three years. Other conditions could relate to colour and type of bricks or roof tiles and some could relate to boundary fencing or landscaping. If you have just received your permission and have any questions about any of the conditions that are attached, please call us on 01775 761161 and ask to speak to the case officer, it is important you have your planning reference number to hand - this is the 8 digit number on your decision notice that starts with a 'H'.
Until you receive your decision notice you should not start your project, again if you do it may result in enforcement action. However, once you have your permission, as long as you comply with the conditions you are free to start......
.......However! At this point
BEFORE YOU START IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you contact our Building Control Section, as building regulations are dealt with separately from planning permission, please call us (01775 761161) and ask to speak to building control or click the following link for more information,
