Having planning permission refused can be disappointing and frustrating, however, during the course of dealing with your application we will try our hardest to work with you to get an approval and will also try to keep you fully informed so that if your application is refused is doesn't come as a big surprise!
If you have had a refusal it will be because of one or more reasons, these reasons will be explained in your decision notice.
The best option would be to contact us and discuss if there is any way to negotiate around the reasons for refusal. If this is possible you may be able to make the necessary changes to your application and re-submit it, for free. Although the 'free go' rule does not always apply so again it is better to check to see if your particular situation qualifies for a free go.
Another option would be to appeal against the decision, appeals should be made in writing (using the necessary forms) to the Planning Inspectorate in Bristol. For more information and to download the appeal forms please follow the
Planning Inspectorate link.
