The Proposals for the Re-use of Rural Buildings policy guidance note has been published.
This provides information to people considering proposals for the re-use of rural buildings and gives detailed guidance on how the criteria of Policy HS16 of the Local Plan will be applied. It also offers design guidance to ensure that conversion and re-use proposals are sympathetic to the character of the building. The guidance gives an increased emphasis on employment re-use and in particular tourism.
