Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA)

SHLAA Update July 2011

The three councils of Rutland County Council, South Holland District Council and South Kesteven District Council, who make up the Peterborough (partial) Housing Market Area, have worked jointly to produce a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA).

The SHLAA is a comprehensive assessment of the potential of land for housing development and will form a part of the evidence base for the emerging Local Development Frameworks. Sites have been put forward by the landowners, developers and the public, following the placement of a public notice in local papers across the three authority areas in January. Sites were also identified from other sources such as existing planning permissions and Urban Capacity Studies.
