The Building Control Department deals with a range of services.
These include:
- Processing and approving plans deposited under the Building Regulations
- Inspecting site work on site to ensure the Building Regulations are adhered to
- Control of dangerous structures
- Control of demolitions
- Street naming and numbering
- Street lighting.
We are separate from the Development Control (Planning) process but work very closely with them and many other departments.
