To Report a Fault on a Footway Light
If reporting a South Holland District Council light please contact us on 01775 761161 or use our online form. You will need to provide the following information:
- Number from label on lamp column
- Position of lamp e.g. Outside 13 Cedar Court, Spalding
- Details of fault
- Your name, address and telephone number
You can locate the lamp number on our Online Mapping system.
If reporting a Lincolnshire County Council light please contact them directly on 01522 553109 or visit the LCC street lighting service page for more information. You will need to provide them with the following information:
- Number from label on lamp column (LCC labels are yellow)
- Position of lamp e.g. Outside 13 Cedar Court, Spalding
- Details of fault
- Your name, address and telephone number
If you are unsure as to who owns the street light please contact us at South Holland District Council and we will endeavour to report it to the correct owner. Please note that some new lamp columns on new housing developments belong to the developer.
Time Scales
- South Holland District Council lights should be repaired within 7-10 working days
- Lincolnshire County Council lights should be repaired within 7 working days
A repair is classed as urgent if it is:
- Damaged due to a road traffic accident
- Wires showing and the terminal cover has been removed or damaged
Please note that in some cases a lamp column or pole bracket may need replacing if it is in very bad condition which can take longer than the normal time scales.
Requesting New Lamp Columns
To request installation of new street lights please contact your Parish Council. If you live in one of the Spalding Wards and do not come under a Parish Council please contact Building Control on 01775 761161 or speak to your Ward Member.
