The Built-in Quality Awards Evening 07/08, sponsored by Jacksons Building Centres Limited, will be held 12 March 2009. The presentation evening will be held once again at the South Holland Centre to award those architects, agents and builders for various categories.
Submissions have been made by local firms from around the District and the judging process is under way. The categories are the same as last year with one adjustment, the Consistent Quality Award has been broken down into two categories, one for the construction and one the for agents. Awards will be given for the following categories:
Major Housing Development (16+ units)
Major Housing Development (6-15 units)
Housing Development (less than 2-5 units)
Single Dwelling
Commercial Extension
Commercial New Build
Domestic Extension - Single Storey
Domestic Extension - Two Storey
Conversion / Alteration / Windows
Best Managed Site
Consistent Quality Award for Builders
Consistent Quality Award for Agents
Architectural Award
Best Partnership with Agent
Best Partnership with Builder
Best Alternative Design
Chairmans Award
Once again, competition is stiff and the judging panel have got tough decisions to make. They will be looking at criteria such as compliance with the building regulations, supplying and managing information, speed of rectification of faults, site environment, consistency of construction and access for people with disabilities.
The evening again promises to be well represented with good attendance from agents, architects, builders, council officials and representitives.
