Councillor Roger Gambba-Jones is the Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Communities, as authorised by the Leader of the Council.
Councillor Gambba-Jones is a member for the Spalding Wygate Ward. His Portfolio Holder duties cover the following specific functions - Local Plan/Local Development Framework, Climate Change and Flood Risk and Mitigation. Service delivery units of the Portfolio include Planning Strategy, Building Control, Conservation and Heritage. Brief for policy emanating from the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
Councillor Roger Gambba-Jones' Portfolio is also supported by a Junior Portfolio Holder, Councillor Angela Harrison.
Day to day duties include attending meetings of the Council such as the Cabinet, full Council, Development Control Committee, Appeals Panel, Local Development Framework Working Party, Member Development Steering Group and the Spalding Town Forum. Councillor Gambba-Jones also represents South Holland at various external meetings/outside bodies such as the Lincolnshire Rail Equality Council and the Planning Aid Community.
