The village is home to about 2500 people, some of whom work in the surrounding fields, some who work in Peterborough, Spalding or other nearby towns and some who are retired and enjoy the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. There is an ancient church, a village shop, a post office, a golf course, several walks, two or three interesting pubs and two or three restaurants in which to enjoy a good drink, good food and perhaps good company!
The Village Post Office (opposite St Laurence's Church) will operate as normal until close of business on 15th February 2004, when it will close. It will re-locate to within Glenside Stores on Station Road, opening on 17th February 2004.
