Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places 2007

South Holland and the Deepings Constituency

Legislation introduced on 1 January 2007 requires us to carry out a review of Polling Districts and Polling Places used for elections on a regular four-yearly cycle.  The first such review must be completed by 31 December 2007.

A review of the polling districts and polling places used for elections within the South Holland District commenced on 3 August 2007 and has now been completed.

During the review the Returning Officer made proposals as to the alteration of any polling districts and polling places, on which representations were sought from:

  • Persons / organisations with expertise in relating to access to premises or facilities for persons with any type of disability;
  • Local constituency political parties;
  • Elected members
  • Parish Councils
  • Any elector registered in the area of the South Holland and the Deepings Constituency

The final proposals were considered and agreed by the Council at its full Council meeting held on 21 November 2007.
