Designated Councillor Budgets

Every South Holland District Councillor has been allocated an annual budget of £5,000 (pro-rata) to support community projects (see Cabinet report no.8 – 14 June 2011).

The scheme, Designated Councillors’ Budgets, which has already been successfully piloted in the district, can be used to support both individual and group initiatives.

Contact the local councillor for your ward to find out more.

Lincolnshire County Council’s ‘The Councillor Big Society Fund’ allows all 77 county councillors to make awards of funding to local groups and good causes during the financial year 2011/12. All county councillors have been allocated £2,000. For more information on this scheme contact your local County Councillor. This means that dual hatted councillors (district and county councillors) will have a maximum of £6,000 to spend.
