The Benefit Fraud Inspectorate (BFI) has inspected our housing benefit and council tax benefit services. In May 2002 it published an independent detailed report describing these services as "excellent with excellent prospects for further improvement". This is the top rating that they could have given and it is the first time they have given it to any Council in the country.
