Volunteering

The Council is really grateful for the help it has received over the years from many local people who have given up their time and used their skills to assist us with our work. The Council has deployed volunteers in many ways in the past and has lots of opportunities coming about in the future that it can offer for those who would like to get involved.

If you would like to volunteer for some of our opportunities, please complete an application form and email it to the relevant contact (or download and print the PDF application form and post it to the Council Offices).

All of these volunteering opportunities are responsible positions where you will be managed by our staff and trained in the duties we require you to undertake. You will never replace a full time member of Council staff - but will make a valuable extra contribution to our delivery. (If you are interested in applying for a job at the Council please see Jobs and Careers)

We hope our volunteers will enjoy their experiences with us and use this as an opportunity to learn more about the life of South Holland and its people.
