A parish plan is a strategic, all encompassing document, detailing how the community wants their parish to look in the next 5-10 years time. It is a grass roots process whereby communities work together to decide what they want to change and what they value about their parish. It consists of three elements; a community profile, consultation and action plan.
There are several parishes in South Holland who are at various stages of developing a Parish Plan.
Holbeach launched their parish plan in April 2008 and a copy of their Plan can be downloaded below:
Surfleet and Crowland are just beginning the process and Moulton and Donington have completed theirs.
Community Lincs employ Parish Plan officers who are dedicated to working with rural communities to devise a Parish Plan.
All enquiries to South Holland District Council about parish planning should be made through the Community Development Officer on 01775 761161.
